Nunes quits Congress for Trump Media job
The lawmaker is a prolific fundraiser whose war chest contained nearly $12 million as of the end of September.

Rep. Devin Nunes, a close ally of former President Donald Trump and the former chair of the House Intelligence Committee, will resign from Congress later this month to run Trump's new social media company.

“The time has come to reopen the Internet and allow for the free flow of ideas and expression without censorship," Nunes said in the statement. "The United States of America made the dream of the Internet a reality and it will be an American company that restores the dream."

If CNN amd MSNBC censor conservative ideas, wouldn't this media company censor liberal ideas.

I mean that is all fine with whoever is running the media company but we all know media is not a non-profit information provider but a content creator.

It's possible but I doubt it. More likely it will be such a free for all that lefties in society and government regulators will want to censor it because it is getting too raucus and leading to this or that. I think, if memory serves, it was wife number three doing that.

Lefties going over on to the site or media forums know that they are like goldfish going into a shark tank but lots of them love it because they- the lefties- are not having much fun either on some of the politically corrent sites. And as much as conservatives will complain about them being there and trying to cause trouble they love it because they like to have some fun too.

Let em work it out on the playground. I do think there will be attempts to censor them- moreso than their censoring others. Everyone will be complaining that things and plans discussed on Trump;s media caused their dick to fall off. The lefties miss Trump. They want to see him back somewhere so that they can be offended and keep their outrage glands secreting.

Maybe they will have podcast or cable TV and Steve Bannon will have a program. Maybe have one of his wives on show us how she used to make meth in the bathtub at Bannon's house.

Trump and his ilk will find their social media adventure to be nothing more than a circle jerk of right wingers complaining to other right wingers. They’ll never get the mix of a Twitter or Facebook. Same as political parties, right wingers infect, they do not grow. Conservatives have never formed a successful political party in America, they take them over, destroy them then move to a new party. Such is the way with hate based ideology. Sorry if you’re offended but it’s true.

“Normal” people or big brands do not want to be associated with anything Trump. At best a Trump social media application will be a breeding ground for right wing terrorists and insurrectionists. He might as well name it “honey pot” for all of the FBI arrests that will be made from it. Join at your own risk.

Nunes moving into the grift world is great for Congress. Glad to see him go.

Free flow of ideas coming from the Republican Party is probably the most absurd thing I’ve seen in a month. If republicans had any ideas at all they would pass legislation. They are a culture war party. Anti intellectual.

For example, tree believes the gun violence has nothing to do with loose gun laws but blames it on a cultural change and the end of society. Not exactly critical thinking going on.

And he is correct. The only way this could not be correct is if you believed the gun did the killing without the person. If it is a person, then the person is making the decision. And the only difference that could be causing more violence is not a law on an inanimate object, but criminals using that inanimate object for ill. And the cultural drivers that motivate - or create - those criminals.
