The GOP probably takes back the senate in 2018 but they still wouldn't have enough votes to impeach her and you know enough democrats wont go along.

Can a President - Elect be impeached? I think one has to actually hold the office before impeachment can begin. Could be the first order of business for congress.

If a sitting president was indicted for handing out favors from her office in exchange for money then any Democrat in the Senate who failed to vote in favor of impeachment would never last beyond the next election cycle - even in the bluest of states.
