This is an interesting question and I think the most likely answer is yes. Republicans have a way of chewing through their former leaders. The support for George W Bush among Republicans was very high, the Republicans were still arguing WMDs were in Iraq when Obama was President but now they consider him a RINO. Even Reagan gets trashed on the right now of days.

I saw another story that contradicted. Said, "Trump still 48% approval even after the Capitol demonstration". (That's probably higher than Obama's when he left.)

Story also said, "72% of Republicans prefer their candidate be MORE like Trump", and "57% would like to see him run in 2024".

Dick Morris did a piece on this today... basically said, "Gallop Polls are lying (again)... didn't sample Republicans much, overly sampled DemoCraps".
