Actually he was more than just that he brought crime down big time and he also prosecuted financial crime in New York look it up.

I mean he has a lot of going on in the city in his heyday, I get it he's washed up whatever, but you can't take it away from him

Rudy moved the 9/11 command centre to building 7 against all advice as the complex was previously attacked. The diesel for the generators of Rudy's "bunker" is in large part what caused the collapse of this building.

It was the destruction of the emergency command centre that took out comms in the zone and forced firefighters to depend on hand radios which were of course jamming and cost many many lives. Hundreds of lives.

It did put Rudy however on camera in the street instead of co-ordinating from bunker. Great optics. His magic trick was to brass balls into into having guys like you see a man who should have shot as a hero.

Hundreds of first responders dead because of him, Rudy spins it to personal glory.

Now.. Then there is what he did to his own staff... And the credit talking for a policy started before he took office.
