It boggles the mind how you support failed policies that placed U.S. in the top of the COVID death toll while you obviously care little for your at-risk neighbors and medical workers.

I support policies that make sense, and are backed by data and math. I would say backed by science, but you and your ilk have perverted actual science so badly at this point, I'm afraid to actually use that term. The Scientific Method used to be about skeptically challenging all information presented - but you've warped that to "challenge anything that threatens the narrative".

As for caring for my at-risk neighbors and medical workers, they need to take the precautions that they need for themselves. There are other variables in the equation apart from a disease that only really attacks the old and infirm. Variables like children, businesses, joblessness, starvation, depression, opioid use and so on.

But the FACT I was mentioning was that there is a VERY REAL difference between not social distancing and shooting someone with a gun. Only a jackass would consider these the same.

Keep in mind the families and friends mourning the death of over 550,00 Americans. Every one of those deaths was preventable if the U.S. followed proper public health policies.

Also keep in mind the over 1.5 million deaths a year worldwide from diabetes. Every one of these deaths is preventable if the US followed proper diet health policies as well. But we don't talk about that.

We are the number 1 nation on the face of the earth in terms of our advanced medical system equipment, number 1 in pharma, number 1 in technology, and near the top in the number of available doctors per patient --- yet due to political idiots we are one of the worst nations in dealing with the COVID pandemic -- an event which we actually had a national public health plan for which was scrapped by the Trump administration and not followed. All the while the president and his cronies promoted non-scientific nonsense including promoting bleach, hydroxychloroquine, no lock-downs, and other complete drivel.

I can only hope that rational Americans demand that someone be held accountable for this fiasco -- but sadly even basic accountability is not likely to happen.
