Very well said and very true. But there may be exceptions. And Trump may be one of them. Many of us are going to do worse specifically because of him! He's a chaos creator and a disaster for some. If you're a farmer or involved in a business affected by tariffs or heightened uncertainty in markets, or if you are an immigrant or even a green card holder then you understand what I am referring to. And long term harm of the Trump Presidency on things such as air and water quality may only be evident after Trump is gone. There are as yet unknown consequences of our abandoning Northern Syria to Turkey and Russia, and our delay of military assistance to the Ukraine facilitating further losses to Russian invasion in Northeast Ukraine. The consequences could potentially extend to future, lost lives of young Americans. And too, how long will it take to repair Trump's damage done to relations with our European Allies? These are all things that may be laid directly at Trumps feet.
True but I think you raise very specific narrow groups affected by a policy and not sure if it is big enough to swing an election pro or con. Like with respect to Allies, you would really need a leader of Europe to come out and say, "Our relationship with U.S. is not going to be the same while he is president" or something because both sides will simply claim relations are better. part of the game I guess.
But farmers, coal workers and other workers who believed the promise Trump was bringing their job back...yeah they got screwed
