Report: Clinton Won Richest Counties – 64 Percent of US GDP

Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election, but won the balloting in regions that generate nearly two-thirds of the American economy, a new analysis shows.

According to the Brookings Institution analysis, the less-than-500 counties Clinton won nationwide combined to generate 64 percent of America's economic activity in 2015, the Washington Post reported.


The more-than-2,600 counties President-elect Donald Trump won combined to generate 36 percent of the country's economic activity last year.

With the exceptions of the Phoenix, Ariz., and Fort Worth, Texas, areas, and a large part of Long Island, N.Y., Clinton won every large-sized economic county in the country, the researchers found.

"This appears to be unprecedented, in the era of modern economic statistics, for a losing presidential candidate," the Post reported.

Okay. But the reality is that the dems just got a participation trophy this time around.

She and Barry have overseen the devastation of the democratic party, although Barry is the first to remind you that he is still extremely popular even though no other democrats are- mostly because he danced with Ellen.

They voted for the person who headed up the democratic ticket who happened to be hillary. The election was hers to lose, and she proceeded to do that.

She lost wisconsin by not campaigning there and instead just tossed a turd over the wall at them by calling them deplorables and racists. Even Obama had to remind her that she said that the voters there would never vote for a woman or a black yet they voted for him twice and he was pretty much black. Just a couple weeks ago, she got on a new kick and started blaming the DNC. Heh, who was chair of the DNC? Oh, that's right. Debbie Wasserman who had been chair of Hillary's 2008 campaign. Still not good enough. And then there was Donna Brazille who was feeding her debate questions in advance and was also working with the DNC. Still not good enough.
 
how was GDP calculated in your stat? Is it the one that includes govt spending?
If you look at the 6 biggest counties gdp counties..

you have L.A. New York. then Harris county. Then cook county. Then Orange CA then Dallas County.

We already know Hillary won the large metropolitan areas. That is why she had any votes at all. a ton of govt takers and illegal immigrants mixed in. You know the democrat base.

For instance the biggest gdp county in the United States is L.A. In the L.A. unified school district only about 29% of the students meet or exceed California state standards in Math.

Of course CA also has the tech industry,the entertainment industry,most pro sports franchises etc.CA has the 2nd most fortune 500 companies with Hilary supporting New York only having more but don't let that get in the way of argument that trumps 36% of GDP counties should outweigh Hillary's 64% of GDP counties

the G in GDP is looks pretty damn strong in many of the big counties which voted hillary. then when you realize consumer spending is also part of the calculation of and the implied point you are making is pretty much destroyed.

besides its the thesis that the very wealthy cronies uses the democrats to vote for stupid stuff and relinquish their liberty.

If Trump is impeached Pence would be president whether he pardoned Trump or not.If he pardons Trump like Ford did Nixon he is likely to have the same faith and legacy as Ford.
