Can a president, through executive order, "simply stop the issuance of citizenship to illegal anchor babies"? If so, expect riots like we've never seen. Not that I don't approve of the idea, but they better be ready when the shit hits the fan. Also, I can't see this being applied retroactively. Can an already declared American citizen be declared illegal? That problematic to say the least. From a date moving forward, I approve, but talk about a shit storm coming. WOW!

yes, I use to spend my winters in Mexico. If you want to see what a right wing world with no safety net looks like, that is the place to go. The Mexican border was open for many years, people could cross both ways at will. And then Du pont started the war on drugs to crowd out hemp competition for their nylon rope. And that was the beginning of sorrows. 13 million illegal aliens and who knows how many locked up in prison for drugs. If you want to go back to when America was great, just go back to the years when the border was open and pot was legal.
I remember California before we started giving away social services to everyone and overwhemling our system. Now only 1/3 of us pay state income taxes and we have to pay for probably 20 million illegals in this state alone. Do you know how much we spend in our baby hospitals?

yes my friend, but this is the old two rights correct a wrong when in fact it is the wrong that should be corrected. All our social safety net has done is create a need for a wall, a very large wall. First open the border, then realize the freebies are unstainable and reform them.
The first right thing we do is give out freebies
The second right thing we do is close the border to protect the freebies
So that's two rights to correct the one wrong which was banning Mexicans because they were bringing in hemp.
Of course a president can instruct the government that from this point on, no more birth citizenship except to US citizens. It's not like he would even be violating a law. As far as I am aware, there has never been a definitive Supreme Court holding either, so he would not even be ignoring a court order.
Of course there would be the inevitable lawsuits filed by illegal aliens demanding to use our courts to force us to give them benefits. Trump is already licking his chops thinking about how he will spin that.
Revoking citizenship of existing anchor babies could be tougher. No one is demanding that, just stop it going forward.
