We have a system of government in which the military is subservient to the elected branches. Adm. McRaven seems to be having difficulty grasping that. He has disgraced himself and his service by his childish outburst. I find it amazing that suddenly progressives are the biggest defenders of the CIA, FBI and retired military brass. Of course, their newfound fondness has corresponded with Obama filling those posts with highly politicized operatives.

The security clearance is a minor issue and Trump is using it to distract from his daily disasters.

However, he is weaponizing the powers of the presidency for political purposes. That is a no-no in a functional republic.

The check on Trump is nonexistent in this Congress and we are now, and have been since Trump assumes office, in a dysfunctional state. Whether it’s in relations with our allies or abuse of power or corruption throughout the many federa agencies under Trump appointments this administration is completely off of the rails.

Good, a thorough full flush enema is needed in D.C. All of these used to be somebodies who are now nobody's need to be stripped of all security clearances and shown the door. These screwballs are more than likely a main source of all the leaks in government. Thank you for your service, good luck and good-bye.
As to Brennan himself, he's been acting as a double agent hiding in plain sight for years. He deserves a much closer look into all of his actions, current and years past.

You mean, like having the IRS target non profits that do not support him or his agenda or using the intell agencies to plant spies in the opposition's campaign? Or fraudulently getting FISA warrants to spy on the other party's presidential campaign, then leaking the good parts to corrupt journalists?

Or maybe ignoring laws he dislikes and issuing executive orders to do the opposite of what the law requires, eg DACA?

I agree. Any president tolerating that kind of thing is a danger and should be removed from office.

That statement is a crime in this country- if it is construed as calling for the assassination of a president. Being in Canada might not keep you from getting a house call from the Secret Service or being placed on a watch list.

Out of my usual generosity of spirit I will go ahead and assume you are not doing that even though most here are capable of reading. But watch your arse and call yourself to a higher order before you get more attention than you want.
