I'm not sure Trump will get re-elected. My concern is that we have a clean transfer of power from Trump to President Biden in early 2021 as we will be in the midst of a second or third wave of the coronavirus. The economy will be in start-stop-start sputters potentially and President Biden will need to be quick to issue the same travel bans that Trump did. I hope his love of identity politics does not prevent that.
The Democrat strongholds are getting hit the hardest by coronavirus. When they realize they can't get a hospital bed because an illegal immigrant took it then that will be their own personal moment of truth. Allowing an area to get overpopulated with non-citizens has medical and resource consequences in times like these.....
Biden can still beat Trump. Here is how I can see Biden losing it however, if Biden spends too much time on identity politics in choosing his VP then it will be wasted time. Also, if he spends all of his time talking about how Trump is xenophobic for not giving stimulus checks to illegals or free college to illegals or how he won't deport anyone then that is something that most people can't relate to right now.
Biden needs to spend his time talking about how he will do a better than Trump in terms of the economic recovery as well as managing this crisis. Preaching to us how Trump is xenophobic over travel bans won't cut it.
