We all (we smart people) knew Trump was going to run in 2024 the day he lost the election, back in 2020.
We also know he is going to win, because nobody will run against him on the GOP platform. The man can do no wrong, as evidenced by years of legal skirmishes that go NOWHERE.

He will meet his end more likely, a little bird tells me that the threats against him are off the chart. But hey little birds and not reliable sources. He may need to run just to get under better cover from the SS as presumptive candidate for self-preservation.

I think you are forgetting that many of us regard the current GOP as TRAITORS and are not sure we will ever cast a vote for them again.
Republicans could not even kill Obamacare when they controlled the entire government. They did nothing basically and got voted out of power. Explain to me why I should vote for them again.

Interesting thought. Has a one-term president ever run again for a second term? I forget my history on that.
Does a former POTUS, who is already under SS protection, get EXTRA SS protection if they become the primary candidate for the next election?
Cleveland. When they leave their SS is cut down and family lose theirs though in Trump's case he got his kids 18 months or something simply because they drew so much heat for the antics.
There are hundreds of thousands with the skills to take any of his gang out and that's just domestically. After he declares his intent but before officially recognised, his gang are at risk.
