Trump Is Disqualified From the 2024 Ballot

6 Republicans were responsible for this? Did the Whiteys even bother to read who had filed this?

The Democrats claim is that they are saving democracy by disqualifying candidates they don't like.

Every justice on the Colorado Supreme Court was appointed by a Democrat.

Democrats once again on the wrong side of history.

this guy wants to delay all his active cases in which he is indicted but wants a fast track the ballot case.

are his lawyers getting paid?

Trump has the "best lawyers". Let's take a look at the Colorado 14th Amendment case.

So the original judge rules that Trump engaged in insurrection but Colorado could not remove him from the ballot. This means Trump could still run for office and the ruling was unlikely to impact other cases he was engaged in.

Trump throws a hissy fit about being declared an insurrectionist and his lawyers file an appeal to the Colorado Supreme Court.

The Colorado Supreme Court rules that Trump engaged in insurrection AND must be removed from the ballot in Colorado. A ruling which could drive decisions in other states.

Now Trump's lawyers are appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court on the faulty grounds the the presidency is somehow "exempt" from the 14th Amendment which is a "pretty weak constitutional argument."

Oh, he has the "best lawyers".

:banghead:

Are you aware that there are Republicans who are anti-Trump, its a whole racket, Liz Cheney makes millions from the left , because the left then can fool people like convertibility into their racist conclusions

So Trump gets to campaign on how they rigged the system against him and all that is going to happen is the Colorado Court is going to get their asses handed to them.

Every time the democrats pull this nonsense Trump's polls go up. He currently has a 3 point lead and is dominating in the swing states.

That a lying fraud and domestic terrorist with seemingly countless indictments against him in progress could possibly run for office in an effort to thwart conviction would be the mark of a banana republic.

well if the peoole elect him then that is what we are...a shitty banana republic....its not for you to make that decision...is it?

Read the 14 Amendment. No mention of conviction!

so a state Supreme court can make a decision if somone engaged in insurrection which is actually a federal crime under the law?

Engaging in a crime would imply a certainty or conviction of that crime..

State SC does not have that power to declare violations of a federal law without due process....

The Amendment doesn't say "convicted of", it says "engaged in".

ok.....what does engaged in mean to you?

Is insurrection a federal crime?
How does a state Supreme court decide a person committed a federal crime and deny them a Constitutional right unilaterally without due process or a trial...

dont get hung up on conviction...

Engaged is vague and only Congress can pass a law defining it and until such time that vagueness cannot be construed to deny a person their Constitutional right.

well if the peoole elect him then that is what we are...a shitty banana republic....its not for you to make that decision...is it?
It should be a matter of following the Constitution, which Republicans have nightly fever dreams about, no? Do you follow the Constitution or do you sink to banana republic level and ignore it? Let the courts, which probably understand it better than you do, decide.
