A Chance to Reset the Republican Race

... Mr. Trump has neither experience in nor interest in learning about national security, defense or global trade. Even unemployment figures, which he’s pegged at 23 or 42 percent (the correct number is 5 percent) don’t merit his attention.
From deporting Mexican immigrants and barring Muslims to slapping a 45 percent tariff on Chinese imports, Mr. Trump invents his positions as he goes along. His supporters say they don’t care. What they may not know is how deliberately he is currying their favor. At a meeting with The Times’s editorial writers, Mr. Trump talked about the art of applause lines. “You know,” he said of his events, “if it gets a little boring, if I see people starting to sort of, maybe thinking about leaving, I can sort of tell the audience, I just say, ‘We will build the wall!’ and they go nuts.”
He says he was against the Iraq war. A lie.
He says that he saw thousands of Muslims dancing after 9/11. A lie.
He says that global warming is a hoax. A lie.
He says that he knows more about Isis than the generals. A lie that only a crazy liar could make.
He says so many lies that it's nearly impossible to list them all. Although, to be fair, much of it could just be plain old ignorance.
Thank you. Close thread. Seriously. This post is all that matters.Anyone, and I mean anyone who supports Hillary Clinton is not in any position to judge another persons level of honesty. It's laughable to even consider that.

Republicans struggle to explain Trump's fondness for 'murderer and thug' Putin
Many senators returning from the summer recess distanced themselves from Trump’s comments praising the Russian president in a national security forum

One day after Donald Trump reiterated his admiration for Vladimir Putin, saying the Russian president was a better leader than Barack Obama, Republicans on Capitol Hill struggled to explain why their party’s presidential nominee was enamored with a man they have long cast as one of America’s primary foes.
Many Republicans who returned to Washington this week after the summer recess expressed confidence that Trump was improving as a candidate in both tone and message. But on Thursday, they found themselves in the familiar routine of distancing themselves from Trump’s comments – the latest being his praise for Putin in an NBC News national security forum held on Wednesday.
“If you’re running for leader of the free world and you’re expressing admiration for Putin, well then you’re losing me,” Lindsey Graham, a senator from South Carolina and former Republican presidential candidate, told reporters.
“I think Vladimir Putin is a thug, a dictator, an autocratic ruler who has his opposition killed in the streets of Russia. He has dismembered his neighbor.”
1. He was against the Iraq War, during the War. Not a lie. He did waffle prior to the war on the Howard Stern show and when pressed, said he 'guessed' he supports the war.
2. I personally read two or more articles shortly after 911 that cited crowds of Muslims celebrating during 911, in America. Many twitter users came out and said they saw the same, perhaps on a news cast.
3. Man-made global warming IS a hoax. Nobody believes that shit on the right.
4. True. Compared to Obamas "Generals" who can't take out a fighting force of 30,000 men in 8 years, after America wiped out Iraq (100k troops and billions in military hardware) in a week.
Btw, you routinely cite Liberal news outlets as "unbiased fact-checking" sources. Nobody believes half of what "politi-fact" and "snopes" put out on a daily basis. They're all tied into Soros and Media Matters, pumping out left wing crap and selling it as "unbiased fact". Only Lefties fall for that trick.
