We should just dig a trench, fill it with oil and set it afire. Probably be cheaper, good for oil industry jobs. Great tourist attraction and would look cool from space. Just make sure it's dug with Mexican labor, otherwise it'll take forever.
The wall issue needs to be settled and we most definitely need to tackle the biggest issue which is visa overstays.
Once again, I will say that the root cause of the problem has been giving a free pass to anyone who can get into the country. There should be no feeling of safety or security for anyone here illegally. Fully implementing e-verify and punishing employers hiring illegals needs to be 100% implemented.
Perhaps someday the government will get computers too. Or set up an excel spreadsheet showing visa entry date, required departure date, and whether any value was ever entered in the field by the required date, and if not a work order is automatically cut to go pick them up or start the investigation. Yeh, I know, I am getting futuristic here.
