Oh bullshit. Trump did this because he thought it would appeal to his pussy, alt right, low information base. "..Prohibits efficient functioning of our armed forces". Have you lost your fucking mind? Since when have the armed forces been "efficient'? The U.S. armed forces are the embodiment of inefficiency. They give socialism a black eye! A few, ~15K, cross-dressers can't possibly have any effect one way or the other.

I don't expect you to view the situation in anything but a hyper-partisan light. You've expressed your view that Trump is the anti-christ about a zillion times over. As far as I'm concerned, you are incapable of providing anything resembling a balanced opinion on any political subject anymore.
I'm sure you know even less about the armed forces than you do about economics. But just because the armed forced aren't operating at peak efficiency and have a plethora of operating problems doesn't mean allowing transgendered individuals into the military wouldn't create additional, massive logistical and operational nightmares for command - both in the field and at the Pentagon.
You know jack shit about anything in the military absent what you read in propublica.
I do, however, take a certain amount of satisfaction at seeing how unhinged you've become over this issue, further illustrating to me that the decision must have been the correct one if someone like you hates it so much.

Playing in a military band or being a military lawyer is not exactly risking your life. In any event, that is not the only qualification to be in the military. We actually do not need seriously disturbed people in positions of life and death authority. It undermines unit morale, it threatens the mission and it imposes ridiculous additional costs that we cannot afford.
Talking about efficiency when is Trump going to bring back the 2000 plus Humvies he said were left behind in Iraq ?

And you can "feel like" the move is to appease someone, just as I can "feel like" it is probably more of a logistical decision, just like the whole discussion on gays in the military was a logistics issue. The difference between you and I is that I'm willing to consider that the decision might be based on a reason other than hate, whereas you assume right away that it's all about hate.

I have said he has a serious personality/mental disorder. And I have said he is mentally unfit to serve as our President. I have also suggested that his real problem, from a legal standpoint, is likely to be associated with his companies financial transactions, especially those involving Russian Oligarch Money. I have suggested that he has very likely under- , mis- , or fruadulently reported profits from helping Russian Oligarchs to launder ill gotten gains. He has refused to release his tax returns for a reason, and this is why Mr. Mueller is naturally interested in them. These things I mention are only the tip of the iceberg. Donald Trump is a gangster who has been sued over 4000 times and is now skating on extremely thin ice.

From what I had read, the Pentagon is citing expense as the reason.
I haven't read anything to say that the official reason is that they believe Transgenders are bad warriors. There is a very prominent transgender SEAL.
This type of discussion has happened several times in our nations history. It started with the blacks. Then the women. Then the gays. I have never heard of it actually being an issue in battle. Why would it be any different with transgenders?
I don't think it's about hate. I think it's about Trump appeasing the hateful elements of his base. That or he's throwing as many things to pivot the discussion away from Russia and healthcare. Between this and Sarmucci's rantings, he's succeeding.
