Trump can win, he is only down 13 points

In 1976 when the GOP nominated Ford, the consensus quickly turned to 'I think we nominated the wrong guy'. Will that be the attitude in 2016?

Trump was up by 2 yesterday. Rasmussen (typically a little skewed) vs CNN massively skewed when this far out) the race is even right now.

All the polls performed in the past two weeks -- except for CNN (which has been derided as an obvious failure by 538) have Trump / Clinton within 5 points of each other one way or another. Statistically (with a polling margin of error of 3%) Trump / Clinton are in a tie at this point.

Trump is a wild card, but he very well could win if he avoids gaffes. His body language and stage presence rank with the very best, and that wins a lot of votes in debates.

at this point, Trumps greatest enemy is fear. And it is being spread all over the place by the democrats.
What we don't understand we fear.
And what we fear we don't vote for.

Trump got 42% of the vote in the republican primaries. 58% voted against him.

Trump is preaching big government nanny state. I have never supported that and never will.
Trump favors obamacare individual mandate. I have never supported that and never will.
What will Trump do to protect and defend the Constitution? Why is Trump against free market capitalism?

What percentage has Hillary had in the Democratic Primaries? Trumps %'s are a result of having so many Candidates early in the race. Trump's winning numbers in the last several states were much higher than Hillary's where she keeps losing to Bernie. Your analogy is meaningless.

Trump is going to politically attack Hillary on a lot of issues that Sanders couldn't or wouldn't use. I don't think he's going to get into the personal tabloid stuff, but he will probably make her own things like Pardongate, and tie it into the "Crooked Hillary" theme.

Trump needs to convict the 58% of republicans who voted against him to vote for him in the general. The responsibility is with him.

He currently has incoherent domestic and foreign polices. Its not a pretty sight. But hey, he wants to raise taxes and cause massive increases to every product you buy. He has a lot of work to if you even wants to sniff the Presidency and making fun of people with disabilities isn't going to do it.

The vast majority of republicans voting in the primaries voted against establisment candidates, they will unify behind Trump, as well as many of Bernies followers (likeminded anti-establishment) when they find out how the DNC screws them at their convention.

Get use to it Trump (good or bad) is the next POTUS
