Trump Booed as He Drops $399 Official Gold Sneakers at Sneaker Con

Donald Trump received a decidedly mixed response when he debuted shiny gold Trump-branded sneakers at Sneaker Con in Pennsylvania. The launch of the $399 shoes comes after a week in which a judge ordered him to pay $355 million for fraud, but despite that nine-figure setback, he had some good news Saturday: Trump’s sneakers quickly sold out.

“I’ve wanted to do this for a long time,” Trump said as he talked about the gold shoes. “I have some incredible people that work with me on things, and they came up with this. And this is something I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it’s going to be a big success.”

The shoes are gold with an American flag design around the ankle, with red soles and a Trump T emblazoned in gold on the sides, with another T on the shoes’ tongue.

Well, I seriously doubt DWAC is going to make him any money. Once it starts trading as a combined company, the 180 day countdown begins, and I can promise you that by the end of that 180 days, the stock will be at the most $5. Unless I'm missing something, there won't be a large enough revenue stream to justify even that.

Of course the algos will get in the game and there'll be numerous squeezes on the way down. I don't have my software open, but how much are the atm puts 18 months out? $50 might be the first top on this squeeze. I sincerely doubt we'll see the prior high of whatever it was. $90? It just wouldn't make any sense, unless the option pricing doesn't make the appropriate proportional move. IE at $90, a June 2025 $20 put costs exactly as much as it costs now at $50, instead of being much cheaper like it should be.

Lol... Trump said he had this idea for gold sneakers 15 years ago. That's nothing. Back in the day, when I-Pods were the thing, I told people The Sharper Image Store should team up with Apple and release a limited edition, signed and numbered, solid gold I-Pod series pre-loaded with every song in the I-Tunes library at the time. A niche collectible geared strictly for the ultra-wealthy. They would have sold out in the first day.
