in the UK., Boris Johnson adopted a completely different policy tune after he was hospitalized in serious condition for COVID.

Prior being hospitalized Boris was pushing a "just let it spread" policy despite being told it would lead to 500,000 deaths in the U.K. and not lead to "natural herd immunity".

After his hospitalization Boris adopted a totally different policy aligned with the best scientific and public health policies. He changed his direction and his national government drove lockdowns, contact tracing, and testing as the approach to address COVID.

I am hoping Donald Trump learns something from catching COVID and changes the national direction and approach to be aligned with science and the best public health policies.

Don't hold your breath. It would mean admitting that he was wrong. He rarely admits to being wrong on the smallest things. This is major.

I'm sorry that his grandmother died. It should have been Miller who got the lung damage to go with his pre-existing neurological damage.
