So how much does "demand" for oil go down as a result of not having a pipeline? Think about it man, it doesnt change a goddamn thing whether the pipeline is there or not. The only thing that changes as a result of the pipeline being there is that it is more environmentally friendly than having trucks and trains transporting it.
Its not like people start using more or less oil based on the transportation method.
It doesn’t make any real difference. It makes more pollution to develop shale than traditional wells. This was corporate interests shoving a pipeline down the throats of people who didn’t want it.
There is no positive benefit to having the pipeline.
