Trump advocates depriving undocumented immigrants of due-process rights

I wonder if noted constitutional scholar Steven Colbert could specify what exactly constitutes due process for border jumpers? Full review of their bogus claims before an Article III judge with taxpayer paid legal counsel? Because if that is the case, we are going to need a lot more judges and lawyers.

That’s really the question that should be examined. Still, suspending due process isn’t really an option.

OMG a rabbi said a bad thing! What's your next diversion? Today's paper trades? :D

Fake :) haha

You don't even know he is the chief rabbi or what that means because you are ignorant of anything. You so funny.

Of course this joke might explain it. (short version, there are many variants).

"A fellow buys a new car and goes to an Orthodox Rabbi for a blessing: "Will you recite a b'rakha over my new Mercedes?" "Sure," says the Rabbi, "once you tell me—what's a Mercedes?"

The fellow then finds a Reform Rabbi and asks, "Will you recite a b'rakha over my new Mercedes?" "Sure," is the reply, "once you tell me—what's a b'rakha?"

The joke is doubly cruel, employing two stereotypes: 1. Orthodox Jews are ignorant of basic secular knowledge, and 2. Reform Jews are ignorant of basic Jewish knowledge.
"

Little Russian man, you are a fake :)

A bugbear I have with Adams is that he is monologue mode and he needs to be challenged. He has not done enough debates however this is interesting enough.

Sam Harris is impressive whereas Adams comes across as a sophist who attributes far more depth to Trump than actually exists. I like Adams's Dilbert comic strip; I read it every day. But Adams comes across as either the pointy-haired boss or the big-headed CEO that his own strip regularly tears down.

This is why he broadcasts on Periscope. He can't really take the heat. He gets some shots in but.. maybe like the old analogy of showing a hungry man a picture of food.. I don't bite.

Dilbert is good though.

I'm not convinced he does. He tries to parse words beyond context to advantage. For example, early in the video Harris mentions that he regards Trump to be an odious conman. Adams goes to ask does whether that means that he is a good conman or a bad one. That's just pedantic BS. He's trying to be clever without contributing to the exchange.

P.S. Besides, Harris is a neuroscientist whereas Adams is a self-taught hypnotist. You think maybe Adams sent away for one of those hypno coins that they advertised on the back cover of comic books back in the day?

He is arguing to the audience for sure there. Should he face multiple debates he would not survive the crucible of multiple people taking up on his weak points from previous discussions.

His three types of liar and that Trump is fine because he is a predictable bullshitter and his lies don't cause lasting harm they merely persuade..

He tries to disarm any argument against how, by what means, Trump won and was it on his own merit or did he cheat by waffling about confirmation bias. He would be killed for that in next talk.

Harris is correct, if things were good, we would not be taking about politics. Adams waffles about analogies..

Hard to think here as there are three pneumatic drills simultaneously outside my window :)

Still I'd take even this level of amateur persuasion over the morons on ET.

One thing I will be stealing from Adams perhaps is his description of a 'skills stack', where various skills, conscious/subconscious competences I'd usually call them are layered on top to creating a formidable aptitude.

What is worth knowing as mentioned by Harris, he offers to edit out anything the interviewee thinks may make them look bad, 'the opposite of gotcha' interview. I can't trade as my nerves are jangled by the pneumatic symphony but listening away on my extra big headphones.

A 2-hour+ piece with Scott Adams?! Sorry, can't do it. I'm gonna have to go full Wally on this one.
