There are a lot of ways to do it, improving Mexico's economy was working really well. What you want to avoid though is allowing some dodgy advisors make the US look like Israel. It would be a great boon to them if the US went there as well.

Bullshit. The backlog in our immigration courts is already 675,000 cases, which makes the case for the wall. We don't need any more. On top of that we should drastically reduce legal immigration until those are resolved. You leftists only care about future demrat voters, country be damned, so whatever you say is the opposite of what we should do.

You're right, it is the current interpretation of the law. However, there are people, and quite a few people, who think this should not be the case, and 99.9999% of those are Trump supporters. He, mistakenly IMO, panders to that crowd with such vitriol and broad brush painting the situation. As I've said before, I enjoy seeing him poke the left and get under their skin, but there are times when he does not help his own cause, which I believe is a good one. That being, congress fix this god damn problem. It's on them.
