that is truly astounding. We have got to rid ourselves of this crook. I just now watched the Maddow show on MSNBC and she replayed the tape, discovered much later than the other tapes, of Nixon telling Bob Haldeman that he can expect a pardon. And of course we are being prepared for that sort of thing right now by Trumps unconventional series of bizarre pardons that have not gone through the traditional DOJ process. Apparently the President pardoning someone who might otherwise testify against him was considered obstruction in Nixon's time. Is it still I wonder?

That's a fascinating quote and perhaps there is truth in it. In any case, it seems to describe nicely, and succinctly, a common modus operandi of demagogues like Donald Trump.
