In another poll conducted between Thursday and Friday by Reuters/Ipsos, 5 percent of Republicans and 21 percent of Independents noted that they were less likely to vote for Trump due to his guilty verdict.

On the other hand, 30 percent of Republicans and 13 percent of Independents said the jury's decision made them more likely to vote for the ex-president.

Nonetheless, the majority of Democrats (58 percent), Republicans (55 percent), and independents (58 percent) stated that the guilty verdict had no effect on their decision to vote or not vote for the former president.

Headline said Trump suffers setback. My quote, from the article, indicated a net positive gain in voting. It was the ONLY reference to voting and was the opposite of the headline!

I have three major interests outside the current debates about polls:
  • Juan Merchan's sentencing of Trump on July 11th that even if there's an appeal...it will take "years" and the Supreme Court will not touch it. Debating about polls right now concerning the 34x criminal convictions is ridiculous. Yet, Trump has raised more money after the felony convictions to use to pay a large chunk of his legal fees/penalties. :rolleyes:
Trumpers have stated they're more concerned about the sentencing phase because it will most likely be LESS than the remaining three criminal trials if Trump receives federal felonies that have a much more impact on voters decision as they weigh all of Trump's crimes going into the November elections and the Supreme Court decision.

  • GOP will manipulate Trump into selecting a running mate that's not MAGA because they want someone who can replace him and help them get their agenda passed with the Democrats if Trump is not able to perform his Presidential duties when the Supreme Court decides Trump has no immunity for the remaining three criminal cases that have a mountain of evidence plus plea deals with former lawyers of Trump who have agreed to testify against him in comparison to the Hush Money Criminal Trial.
  • Republicans are now increasing their anger towards protestors at U.S. universities and discussing ways to prevent foreign students from certain countries from enrolling at U.S. universities...targeting their VISAS and deportation. On the surface, it may seem not much of a problem but these students have strong connections (family, friends, fellow students).
We all know who is the elephant in the room (Trump) that is quietly pushing Republicans to do the above targeting of VISAs and deportation because he believes he does not need their votes while on his revenge campaign against those that he believes are causing America to desintegrate. It's a problematic strategy because students return back to school in August but the election is in November.

I have zero interests about polls (like MAGA clowns do), which for the most part are arbitrary and only a snapshot in time at best. Election Day is the "poll" to watch.

As for the Felon's VP choice IMO he will pick who he will, not GOP. And like all his other choices in life, love, business and politics it will, of course, be a lewzer of a pick.
