Blocking someone stops them from seeing your posts and threads — which is the entire intent of block. Ignore stops you from seeing their posts and threads.

Unfortunately the ET forum software allows users to easily bypass both block and ignore.

There are separate functions on ET found within your profile account settings. One for ignore and one for block. I have explained their intent and how they are supposed to work.

The intent of Block on ET (and other social media platform0 is that the person you blocked is unable to see the content you posted. Unfortunately the ET forum software has some shortcomings which makes both ignore and block easy to bypass.

It works perfectly fine for people who actually want to block people.You have to take extra steps to see the posts of someone you have blocked.If you are going to take those steps to see the posts of someone you have blocked and respond to those you have blocked it makes no fucking sense to block them in the first place fucking idiot.
