Without endorsing President Joe Biden, the editorial board of the St. Louis Post Dispatch warned Republican voters — particularly so-called "Reagan Republicans" — that Donald Trump should be kept as far away from the corridors of power as possible.
The editors wrote, "Even among the many Republicans out there who recognize Trump’s obvious unfitness for office, there will be a strong temptation to fall back on partisan muscle-memory and vote for him anyway," before adding, "Republicans and conservatives of good conscience who can’t bring themselves to vote for President Joe Biden — fine — should at least consider any alternative that doesn’t give a vote to this unstable, malicious man and his dangerous movement."
Pointing to Trump's part in the Jan. 6 insurrection, the editors cited his suggestion that he not only be given total immunity to run the country as he sees fit if re-elected, but also his hint that he would have no problem seeing his political enemies arrested or killed.
Bolstering their case by noting, "These are all publicly expressed notions from Trump’s own mouth, his social-media thumbs and his defense strategy in criminal court," the editors darkly suggested, "European history of the not-too-distant past has some antecedents to this fervent phenomenon. None of them turned out well."
Getting to the point, the board wrote that there are reasons to be fearful of Biden's advanced age, but a vote for Trump should be beyond the pale.
"Say this for Biden, though: He’s not an indicted alleged criminal, a civilly liable rapist, a divisive demagogue or an anti-constitutional aspiring autocrat. Trump is all of these things. He belongs nowhere near power," the board wrote.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), the former White House physician, was demoted by the U.S. Navy following an inspector general's report that found he acted inappropriately while serving under then-president Donald Trump.
The Navy demoted the two-term congressman from a retired admiral to captain, which carries serious financial implications and a social stigma among military circles, after the Pentagon inspector general faulted him for creating a hostile work environment and drinking and taking drugs while on duty as the president's doctor, reported the Washington Post.
“The substantiated allegations in the DoDIG [Department of Defense Office of Inspector General] investigation of Rear Adm (lower half) Ronny Jackson are not in keeping with the standards the Navy requires of its leaders and, as such, the Secretary of the Navy took administrative action in July 2022,” said Lt. Cmdr. Joe Keiley, a Navy spokesperson
A Navy official confirmed the service branch took unspecified action against Jackson in response to the 2021 inspector general report, which found that he berated subordinates, “made sexual and denigrating statements” toward a woman who served under him, and took the sleep drug Ambien and drank alcohol with subordinates while on duty.

It's the first time I've heard someone that's "retired" can be demoted. Thus, when you're retired...you're now citizen XYZ. Yet, maybe they demoted him when he was still active...he took it to court and it was not resolved until after he was retired.
That's a huge financial hit...demotion from Admiral down to Captain... equal to an Army General being busted down to a Captain. Yikes.
Simply, that's one of those types of bust that they must have even consider prison (dishonorable discharge...no pension) for him, and the demotion was something he accepted to protect his pension...also lowering the publicity of the court martial results.

1.Trump loss the popular vote by 7 million votes,but he only loss The EC by 42,000 votes.Bidens approval rating has gone from +23 to -18.Bidens approval with black voters has gone from around 90 to the 40's,thus millions of people who voted for him in 2020 will not be voting for him in 2024.
2.Republicans got millions more votes in the 2022 mid terms.If the republican wins the popular vote in a presidential race it is virtually a guaranteed win.
3.Trumps legal troubles did not stop him from blazing through the GOP primary.Majority of polls show the majority of Americans will vote for Trump over Biden, the majority of Americans think Trump was a better president than Biden and like Trump personally more than Biden.The majority of Americans think Trump is/was better on the economy,immigration and most other issues.Trumps legal problems have proven to have no effect on him politically.
Incumbency is an advantage,but not when your approval ratings are as bad as Bidens.
Bidens approval / disapproval is - 18.He hasn't had a higher approval than disapproval since 2021.
