Regular readers will recall me saying the Trump campaign is making a big mistake by arguing voters will link the general violence and unrest in America to Joe Biden. I maintained the premise is faulty and essentially boils down to only Trump can save America from Donald Trump’s America. That is not a logical or reasonable conclusion for most Americans to come to, however.
I even posed a better route for the Trump campaign was to take the issue head on and talk about ways to bring about general peace through listening and understanding.
Others posed Trump had a winning strategy because they believed Americans would link democrat policies in American cities to the unrest and violence, or as they call it looting.

Americans overwhelmingly expect more violence under a second Trump term. Trump is losing this issue badly right now.

You forgot the other part of the poll which showed that Americans expect more violence under Biden as well.
No matter who gets elected -- there will be more violence until ANTIFA stops rioting, burning, looting, and destroying cities.... and right-wing groups stop showing up to confront them. The only way to fix this problem is with firm application of police and national guard --- with consequences of lengthy sentences for violent rioters.
