Joe has problems with the progressives who more or less are the dem party now. He thinks he is an extension of the Obama regime but Booker and Kamala Harris both think they are Obama 2.0. Joe will not make it to the nomination.
Traditionally, the next presidential election cycle begins the day after the midterms and that will be 100% true this time around too and that's coming right up.
Booker was in Iowa over the weekend. And I read today that Bloomberg has suddenly felt an urge to re-register as a democrat even though he has been a republican and an independent. Yuh, as I said. It's gonna be a zoo in Lefty Village and there will be lots of blood.

agreed. Although we should perhaps be willing to accept the sampling methods claimed by the professionals to produce a result not statistically different from the representative mean position of "everyone". They presumably have honed their methods and have a measure of their reliability.
So presumably an estimate of Joe the plumber's opinion weighted by the population of "Joes" is represented in the result as well as Madeleine Albright's opinion weighted by population of "Albright's". I think that's what the real Pro's strive for.

We seem to have entered a new era where information, misinformation and disinformation are on a level playing field. I find this a bit concerning. Deep knowledge, experience, and leadership skills we might seek may prove to be superfluous if one has first to get elected. Perhaps we will be stuck with charismatic bimbos and ignoramus-liar-showmen for the foreseeable future.
Contemplation of our apparent reality makes me think it is rather a waste of time to look for honest, hard working, highly qualified candidates, unless they also have a bit of the circus performer about them. This is a too rare combination I fear. I doubt we will find many of these folks in either Libraries or the Wrestling ring. Will we have to look in trailer parks, casinos, and carnivals and settle for what little intellectual capabilities come with the necessary acting ability? I hope this is not the case, but it seems it may be.
It's a dilemma. Many of those that can easily get elected know next to nothing about economics, history, sociology and government, and the other things they should know to be a good President. Those that no nearly everything, can't get elected! And worst of all, in my opinion, is that honesty, decency, and good manners seem to be important only to a minority, whereas I should think these qualities should be a basic requirement to even be considered for high office.
I think the time for clowns and circuses is rapidly coming to an end, and exponentially approaching the event horizon. After that, real leaders will be needed. This can't continue moving to the extreme forever.

I'm not sure it is a hope thing. It is a logical conclusion. Only one of two outcomes is possible, I would think, of such a trajectory in asininity: Total global meltdown, war and chaos, or adults suddenly gain control.
Either way, problem solved.
