True reason behind ICE bid for CBOT

The CME people must be going nuts. ICE has already cost them a fortune, now they may have to shell out even more. At some point they will have to come to some sort of agreement with ICE, perhaps split up CBOT, because ICE seems determined to run this thing up.

It's interesting to compare the action in ICE stock this time with the big break when they announced the first offer.
 
It gets even more interesting. ICE apparently made a deal with CBOE (worth around 600 mil), that will settle dispute CBOE has with CBOT about membership values. The deal is only valid of course if ICE gets CBOT.
