True heroes

Because of the French failure to support U.S. Policy against terrorist regimes over the past five decades.
don't forget, they wouldn't let us fly over france on our way to bomb Iraq, so we had to fly around, and those jets don't run on water

this was the first one to drive sadam out of kuwait. What difference does it make if the war was good or bad, they still wouldn't permit us to fly over.

Same thing when we bombed Libya for blowing up a commercial airplane via terrorism... The French would not allow overflight.

The French are now merely reaping what they have sowed.

France

The second largest European contingent was from France, which committed 18,000 troops.[120] Operating on the left flank of the U.S. XVIII Airborne Corps, the main French Army force was the 6th Light Armoured Division, including troops from the French Foreign Legion. Initially, the French operated independently under national command and control, but coordinated closely with the Americans (via CENTCOM) and Saudis. In January, the Division was placed under the tactical control of the XVIII Airborne Corps. France also deployed several combat aircraft and naval units. The French called their contribution Opération Daguet.
