Except that there is no "deep sense of embarrassment" for Canada. We don't have the circus the US has, non-stop bs for years on end, crisis after crisis no end. Some Americans ( including several on here ) can hook onto every negative story about Canada in order to think things are just as bad in Canada, but they aren't. So many good things going on in Canada these days. Trudeau may not be perfect, he made a mistake and he owns it, and is a decent human being. I may not think he's a great leader, but he presents himself well in public and isn't creating massive social problems in our country. Unlike Trump who appears to be a degenerate sociopath and a blight on the planet. There is no comparison; save your state of embarrassment for the mess the US is politically and socially in recent years.
