Trudeau must resign immediately

Anyway, whatever happens, the liberal Liberal party will have to work with the liberal NDP party and the liberal Green Party and the liberal BQ party in order to govern. Lol @ American conservatives latching on to this election like it proves Trump and his lemmings right.

I don't think they understand that what "conservatives" in the US believe in and what the "Conservative" party in Canada stands for are two completely different things.

Though it does look like he is going to lose his majority and have to broker a coalition with the NDP or such to form a government. Not sure yet.

Just glanced above. Probably this has been said.

You don't need a majority to form a government. What you need is enough individual MP support ( which can be influenced heavily by your party ) to pass whatever policies or laws you want. And if a vote of non-confidence occurs, you get another election in maybe 1-3 years not 4.

Trudeau running strong.

Looks like Obama's endorsement might have saved him.

I guess the article I read counted Justin Trudeau out too soon. Glad he is not the President of the United States though. Canadians voted for him, it is their country to do with as they wish! US citizens though will get our own election next year, November 8, 2020! That is what counts for us!

Certainly it would have been more fitting if he was mayor of a dump like Tampa Bay. Such is politics, you guys elected Trump a fascist who hates on women and promotes racist policies and themes. Ford was relatively harmless; Trump is an extreme sociopath doing very real damage to all sorts of people.

Its heartwarming to see you've taken me off ignore again. How's the libel suit going against Baron and ET?

Ford was certainly harmless. Funny as hell, though. As for the harm Trump is inflicting, liberals like yourself don't count.

I am genuinely curious, though. What is it about Tampa that makes it a "dump" in your deranged view?

Right and from what I understand while it’s not a an ideal election the Liberals really only need one of the three opposition parties to win in the House of Commons. Not that heavy of a lift.

Also, if I have this right western Canada is now deeply divided from the rest of Canada politically.

As opposed to, eastern Canada, Quebec which still wants to outright secede?

To say western canada gets a little tricky as it does in the U.S. You head into the western U.S. and things start getting plenty conservative. Except if you keep going to start getting the west coast effect which is full loon.

It's a bit that way in Canada too. If by "western" you mean the prairie provinces then that is one thing, but if you mean Vancouver-ish, that be another thing.

I have not looked at BC election numbers from last night, but that is generally true regardless. No doubt the Tories made some gains in Vancouver but that does not make it conservative. That's just the luster wearing off the drama teacher.

"You head into the western U.S. and things start getting plenty conservative. Except if you keep going to start getting the west coast effect which is full loon."

Lol. As you pass through the largely empty spaces of the west it's conservative, until you get to where the people live.

Hey, Frog, I hear crow pie is best served cold.

This what I posted right before the election. Let me know how it should be revised based on the actual results:

"The most likely outcome is that Trudeau's party will lose its majority but Tinkerbell will hang on for a while as they try to form a government by sharing power with the other lefty party. That's probably the best he can hope for"

It is like that for those of us who post our views rather than just pass along links. We say what we are thinking versus, following the script.

You should be taking notes when the rest of speak, so that you can learn something.

How much discussion about Canada have you actually generated on the forum?
Oh, I see. You only follow Trump and are not familiar with developments in Canada.
