padutrader after 12 years studying Al Brooks now is the time to move on. Have you even made back the $500 you spend on the books and videos yet ?
you cannot blame the tools......and that is all Brooks is.
Brooks is teaching technical analysis in it most classical form.....it is 100 years old and you cannot get away from that in short term trading.
incidentally before Brooks i also studied and traded Gann, Pring, Elliot, Demark, Hansen, Raschke, Bulkowski, ......these are the ones i remember.
i also read a lot of books and studied free stuff on net.I read my first book in 1994
i have come to the conclusion that nothing gives more than an edge......
so you have to trade like a casino does and not like it's clients.
the casino DOES NOT evaluate each client's bet, analyse it and then accept it......
it accepts them all .
so why do traders evaluate trades and analyse them.......i have been doingthat for 30 years.
now in my journal i am just taking every buy and sell signal and putting a target............blindly.........
so to answer your question in one line: i do not think it is time to move on.it is time to follow everything he teaches to the letter.
