Treyvon Martin issue is starting to irritate the hell out of me

Quote from 377OHMS:

An over-zealous cop wannabe? Yeah, that seems to be a fact.

But Zimmerman and the "secret witness" both say that Zimmerman had lost sight of Martin and was walking back to his vehicle when he was ambushed by Martin and being beaten breaking his nose and lacerating his skull.

During the beating Zimmerman was able to get his weapon out and lawfully shot Martin.

When the police arrived they found Zimmerman bloodied and sporting a broken nose. The account given by the witness and Zimmerman matched and so the police made a determination that it was a lawful self-defense shooting and Zimmerman was allowed to leave with his weapon.

It sucks that this kid was killed. But the fact that Zimmerman had followed Martin inappropriately isn't relevant to the assault and subsequent shooting. Your insistence that Zimmerman be charged with murder reveals a lot about you.

Except I never said he should charged with murder. The fact that you don't think he should be arrested says a lot about you.

You know, peil, I have you on ignore so I can only see what other people quote.
The crazy thing is, the more I read your stuff, the lower my opinion gets. I honestly didn't think my opinion of you could get any lower, but then I never thought a human being was capable of sinking to the level you just crashed to, well, except for Lucrum, but he's his own special case.
So, it appears, are you.

Oh...well I don't want YOUR opinion of me to get so low, so perhaps I will change. Yeah. I think from now on I will be like you. I will ignore evidence and just jump on the popular bandwagon even if its wrong. If this means supporting criminals who attack people that are just looking out for the neighborhood, so be it. Because I dont want YOUR opinion of me to be negative because who are you?

Someone quote this so this jackwad can read it.

Yes, one thing it says about me is that I am inclined to give the police the benefit of the doubt, that is, I'm willing to place some confidence in their ability to make a determination as to whether a crime has occurred or not.

If there had been any indication that this was a murder then I think the police would have at least detained Zimmerman and conducted interviews at the police station etcetera.

For the police to have simply released Zimmerman and given him his registered weapon means to me that the evidence that they had before them must have been pretty compelling.

I've read post after post in this thread where people seem able to dismiss any of the facts about what occurred and are prepared to convict Zimmerman of murder on the strength of the fact that a black kid was killed by a white man and nothing else.

The Sanford police did not even charge Zimmerman with a crime of any kind, handed his weapon back to him and sent him to the hospital to treat his broken nose and head laceration.

It was clear to them from Zimmeran's own account and the statement by an eyewitness that Martin layed in wait and ambushed Zimmerman as he was walking to his truck. Martin proceed to assault Zimmerman breaking his nose and cutting the back of his head while Zimmerman screamed for help. At some point Zimmerman was able to brandish his weapon and he shot Martin. The stand-your-ground self-defense law in Florida was observed, the weapon was registered and Zimmerman had a permit to carry that weapon in a concealed manner.

Your self-hatred and loathing of all caucasians causes you to dismiss the circumstance of what occurred and to call for murder charges. I'm sure that will not happen. Obama can force the DOJ to charge him with something but I'm pretty confident that he will prevail and that Obama will be shown to harbor the same racisim that you do.

Being stupid and then compounding that with liberal self-hatred has got to make you a very unhappy man. I feel pity towards you but also resentment because I know that your type of people are destroying the values that our country was founded on. It is your type of thinking that caused genocide in places like Cambodia.

I posted the article with his record... take some time to read it.

So a previous record PROVES your otherwise baseless assumptions?

Quote from bigarrow:

Did you take a hard bump to the head lately, your thinking is muddled.
There is an unarmed minor dead after a documented pursuit, I'd call that evidence. Now sober up and apologize.

It's evidence of a shooting, not a crime.

Zimmerman was innocent under the law.

Treyvon was potentially guilty under the law, which gave Zimmerman provision to open fire.

Yes, ultimately, it was found that Treyvon was innocent, but that does not make the law a bad one.

This law needs to stand, so that people can feel safe in their neighborhoods.

The matter is now closed. Zimmerman has no case to answer. I request that this thread is closed.

Quote from Lucrum:

So how is it he had a carry permit?

Stop posting. I have requested that this thread is closed, since the matter is now closed. Zimmerman is innocent.

You came late to this thread and you spoke as if you were the Attorney General , now you want to know how is it he had a carry permit?
Go ask Zimmerman that.

I would like to add a comment about "just walking and looking around".

If you spent any time on the street observing "urban youth" "just walking and looking around" it is pretty easy to logically assume "suspicious behavior".

Not walking in a straight line, looking in a parked car window, using the whole sidewalk, walking with no purpose, not walking direct and forthwith to a destination. Walking like a tourist (there;s nothing to see here it's a gated community) but possibly seeking out an opportunity to steal something now or in the future.

If it was raining, walking this way is unusual.

"just walking and looking around" is innocent and legal, but it's a pretty common MO for crimes of opportunity.
