Treyvon Martin issue is starting to irritate the hell out of me

Quote from peilthetraveler:

Now you are adding stuff that you dont know happened. The only information of the confrontation was from Martins girlfriend who said Martin said "Why are you following me?" to which Zimmerman responded "What are you doing here?" I didnt know asking someone what they are doing is considered assault.

But lets see if we can piece together logically Martins girlfriends story. She claims that after zimmerman said "What are you doing here?", she heard pushing and the line went dead. Now...if that was ALL that was said, its reasonable to believe that Martin started attacking zimmerman because who would ask "what are you doing here?" and instead of waiting for an answer, just start fighting.

Now if she was leaving something out, that means Trayvon responded and said something that she doesnt want coming out because it would make him look guilty or like he started the fight(which he probably did) Teenagers always leave out the parts of the story that cast a bad light on them or one of their friends. For instance...lets speculate that after Zimmerman said "What are you doing here?" Martin replied with "I aint gotta tell you nothing and I'm gonna beat your ass for followin' me" Do you really believe that his teenage girlfriend would tell police he said that? No...teenagers are not that honest. They dont give up information like that.

So now, without any evidence, you are accusing his girlfriend of being a liar. But you don't quit there, you go on to state that all "teenagers are not that honest". Talk about projection of bias on a community.

However you are fully prepared to believe Zimmerman's story despite his history of arrests for violence and girlfriend beating. You ever given consideration to how 28 year old punks lie when they don't want something "coming out because it would make him look guilty or like he started the fight (which he probably did)"?

Quote from pspr:

I thought after AAA spelled it out for you you would give it up.

But, no. You've got to find some more irrelevant facts (or maybe not). Irrelevant either way.

The relevant part is that people that have a pattern of behavior involving arrests for aggressive behavior and violence tend to regularly exhibit that behavior in many situations in their lives - like when they chase down and shoot teenagers.

If this was turned around and there was evidence that Trayvon Martin had a history of behavior involving violence, you would be jumping all over it and stating that this was obviously relevant and proof that the teen was the aggressor. This, of course, makes you a hypocrite.

I never accused her of being a liar and I never said that "ALL" teenagers are dishonest, just most will not give you the whole story...especially the type of teenage girls that go out with guys that wear their pants around their knees.

Anyway, a 28 year old punk would not call the police before he plans to murder someone. A 28 year old punk would not wait by the body of the person he just killed and tell people to call the police.

Be honest for a moment. Lets say Trayvon had got the gun and shot zimmerman. What do you think the odds are that he would've stuck around and waited for police? NONE!

Quote from 377OHMS:

Just as I thought, your head is too far up your ass for you to think rationally. I posted a link where the police cite an EYEWITNESS who say the kid ambushed Zimmerman and beat him down until Zimmerman pulled out his weapon and shot him.

Your inability to process that information is a uniquely liberal attribute. Pull your head out.

Oh, I've said that if Martin assaulted Zimmerman he was clearly in the wrong. You need to read and process beyond your limbic system.

First, IT IS IRRELEVANT to the facts of the incident. What part of that do you not understand?

Second, charges were dropped in the 2005 case. And some girl filed an abuse complaint that went no where.

Remember that "innocent until proven guilty" thing we have in this country?

But it doesn't matter. You would have a better chance of convicting your mother in this case. The facts just aren't there even for an arrest.

Pspr, they seem to want a lynching and facts seem to have little to do with it. It is emblematic of what this country has become.

I also think you are correct about the "secret witness". They're going to out that person and destroy him/her in the court of public opinion. This country just isn't the place to be anymore. This thread and what I'm seeing in the news really reinforces my belief that I must go far far away to find the freedom and liberty that we once had here.

1. On the 911 call from the woman, where you hear the screaming, it stops after the gunshot. That's consistent with the screams coming from Martin.
2. The woman says the same thing in an interview she gave.
3. She also says Zimmerman said to call the police in a nonchalant manner. Yep, that kid beat him up bad.
4. And finally, the "professional" police

a) didn't interview her in detail until after she repeatedly contacted them,
b) didn't id the dead body,
c) and, finally, tested the dead body for drugs and alcohol but not the shooter.

Yep. Real pros.

OHMS, I don't think it exists anywhere in the world. Maybe if you buy your own island but then you probably need a navy to defend it. Especially if they think there may be oil there.

You are right, though. The rule of law and innocent until proven guilty seems to not matter any more to people, politicians, news outlets and other sources in the U.S. The fact that this thread is 40 pages of comments wanting this Zimmerman guy arrested speaks to that reality.

It's little wonder that we are on the road to a totalitarian government and nobody seems to care.

An EYEWITNESS told police it was zimmerman yelling for help. Why is it consistant if it was Martin screaming? Because the screaming stopped after he was shot? You think that if it was zimmerman he should've keep screaming for help after the shooting? No...the screams stopping after the shot prove nothing. An eyewitness who saw everything already said it was zimmerman yelling for help.

And did you ever think zimmerman was in shock? Its hard to process something like that incident.

You just cant accept that you are wrong about this case. A baggy pants wearing black kid attacked a guy who was known for trying to keep his neighborhood safe for everyone and was shot and killed for his antics.

Or an over-zealous cop wannabe with delusions of power jumped to a conclusion, ignored dispatcher's request not to follow, got out of his SUV and confronted a scared teen, got punched by the teen (maybe) and then shot the teen. The key thing here.....HE GOT OUT OF HIS SUV......he was the aggressor. Had he simply stayed in the SUV this would never had happened. There was no reason to get out.
