I understand that.

Trend traders do need to analyze their charts as to whether they are in a bull, bear or consolidating. They aren't using Bull strategies in a Bear, Bear strategies in a Bull or either main strategies when consolidating.

Trend followers don't need to see a chart to trade it. All they need is the price data of the market itself. A fairly significant distinction lost on the crowd that try to use technical analysis to "predict".

I didn't say they needed a chart.

They analyze price data. This is called technical analysis of price data.

What do you think all of the analysts working for the trend following funds do all day?

Technical analysis doesn't require a chart and anyone placing a trade in the market is predicting it will be a winner.

You really need to lose the chip on your shoulder.
 
There are "analysts" working at trend following operations spread across my 4 books? Really? Let us hear more.

A few folks here have absolutely no idea what systematic trend following is or how it operates on a daily basis.
