Trend Following Research

The author of that doc, Curtis Faith, was the most successful turtle of all. Whatever you may say about him will never take away that fact.

Btw, are you aware that your book is endorsed by the turtle who was fired by Rich Dennis for being the worst trader? Why did you receive an endorsement from the worse turtle and not the best?

Jack,
My constraints allow you to concisely profile, yet you choose not to..

Quote from jack hershey:

Personnally, I work with other expert traders who practise their methods continually. This would be a third route.

I met these people face to tace and built collegual associations based on our mutual benefits by exchanging information on markets we traded in common.

If I were not limited by your constraints, perhaps I would have profiled 10 or so of these people and their approaches. Some are authors and others do do presentations at varoius quality assembleages.

As for upper tiered peer sessions, often these people appear on panels but the panels are not academically sponsored. Sponsorship is limited to service organizations of the expert trading community.

Among these people I stand alone in that they are professionals and I am an amateur. I gained their respect by offering them advice based upon market trading experience. In a few cases I have participated with them as trading was done in public and in real time.

Nowadays I only appear at meetings where the participants are security cleared in advance and are qualified by their past performance as traders. This is done by a third party.

Everyone can read The Complete TurtleTrader. Your type of defense only worked when the facts were hidden. My research fixed that.

"I did enjoy the book...I hope it's doing well for you."
Turtle Tom Shanks

"The book was wonderful..."
Turtle Michael Shannon

"Liked it. Congratulations on a job well done."
Turtle Jeff Gordon

"Book is very good...thank you for going for the truth and objectivity."
Turtle Lucy Wyatt

"All in all, not bad. I wish it had never been done and I wish I were not in it, but I know that you were definitely going to do it, so I figured I would try to get the truth out as much as possible. By and large, it worked that way."
Turtle Jim DiMaria

"Nice book."
Turtle Russell Sands

"I can say that after hearing the turtle story many times from many of the people that are part of the story and after reading many articles about such story, this is by far the most entertaining, inspiring, extensive, and honest story of the turtles I have ever read."
Second Generation Turtle Francisco Vaca (Currently an associate with original Turtle Paul Rabar)

"Because Covel so clearly lays out these ingredients of success, his book is relevant not just to trend traders, but to anyone who aspires to greatness in the markets. The message is clear: to win, the odds must be in your favor, and you must have the fortitude to keep playing, remain consistent, and compound your edge. That's a formula for success in any field of endeavor, which may be why the Turtle story finds universal appeal."
Brett Steenbarger

Russell Sands is also your 'competition'. I believe he also sells the rules.

As they say, those who can do, those who can't teach...

Why would you want to defend a guy who clearly was not what he was described as? Are you his friend? Have you done any homework? Seriously.

You're a v good marketeer, I give you that!!

You want people to buy your book just to find out whether i'm "off base".

The reality is that even Rich Dennis said Curtis Faith was the most successful turtle. No need to buy or read your book.
