Having made the mistake of subscribing to this thread and consequently reading every post in it, I have noticed that while the OP may be stubborn (putting it kindly) he is also calm and reasonably polite. This is in contrast to certain folks that have taken to using obscenities and launching ad hominem attacks.

Obviously you have never had an older sibling constantly poke at you and when mom or dad turns around have them look innocent. Nickel is that older sibling. He thrives on the agitation.

You're joking, right? The 50/200 dma crossover has been around forever.

exactly ! sure some price series have trending characteristics historically. however, if some of the gurus on this thread could really do what they claim consistently, they would be the top money managers on earth, and richer than soros, et al .

nice post.

May I say there are two issues: Trends exist, and Make (good) profits by trading trends.

It's like volcanoes exist and we may love the scene very much for a closer look. However, we won't jump into one without proper equipments, because we also know it's dangerous.

Banjo. A little sarcasm there, eh? I wasn't denying the reality of program trading, only asserting that it doesn't work the way that site says it does. At least for NQ.

I catch Hank with his hands in his pants and he claims , "I set him up". so he tucks his tail, runs and refuses to address the question poised to him. I guess he feels like Trends, if he ignores them, they will go away.

Nickel repeatedly asks the same question over and over and over again until I break it down and post a formula response to it. He disappears.

These guys get filed in the "Done" folder. I repeatedly get thrown out of free seminars on trading, not because I am disruptive but because I ask questions these "experts" can't answer.

The trading environment is changing and evolving each day and those individuals stuck holding on to the past are falling behind every day. Every other industry is patted on the back for the inroads it makes each year in the name of progress but we have individuals in the trading arena telling us that this new technology stuff is bad . . . wrong . . . worthless. Make sense, absolutely not.
