Trend Followers -- List of Public Firms

I'm curious if anyone here has any experience investing with any of these guys that have small retail funds. Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

When Mike was talking about Winton on his site a couple of weeks ago, I was looking at his Winton Global Alpha Fund (only 50K required), but it looks like it's only in Aussie dollars. Consistent returns with minimal drawdowns though.

Superfund's drawdowns look like they need a strong stomach. Anybody have money there?

And how about fees? Are there some guys more palatable than others?

Whats the difference between trend following and buy and hold strategies? Are there time constraints?

edit: If my great grandparents bought stock after the great depression and are still holding, is that buy and hold or trend following?

That is buy and hold, and asking Mr. Covel to define the difference quantitatively is not something he's able to do. He's been asked that question several times, and never produces any maths or algo quant code.
