If by "over time" you mean in like an hour, then yes, that's what they've been doing. All the support the fed has extended? they don't even bother printing anything. they just make an entry in a computer and suddenly AIG has a $200b "loan" and the FED has a $200b "receivable" that they can just write off (or down) whenever they want.
