Treasury Widens Scope of Bad-Debt Plan

Hahahaha they are willing to take any bad debt. Wonder if the government will allow people to not declare bankruptcy and take their debt with no consequences?

Sounds like they're trying to get a jump on the next tidal wave of credit problems -- school loans, consumer debt, credit cards, etc.

I still think this plan is a crock and only addresses the short-term symptoms not root problem.
