Treason Weasels - A thread dedicated to Trump supporters who prefer dictatorship over democracy

As long as citizens continue to vote for folks like Trump and Cruz and McConnell and Graham, the nation won't be viable for much longer.

We have to fix stupid ... as difficult as that is.

The way to remove Treason Weasels from Congress is to stop donating any money to them... Businesses are learning this quickly.

Marriott, Blue Cross Blue Shield halt donations to lawmakers who opposed certifying Biden win

Marriott, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, and Commerce Bank have all suspended contributions to lawmakers who voted against certifying President-elect Joe Biden's win.

Those lawmakers — 139 Republican representatives and eight Republican senators — "voted to undermine our democracy," the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association said. Commerce Bank echoed these sentiments, saying the officials "impeded the peaceful transfer of power."

Thousands Of Lawyers, Law Students Call For Sens. Hawley, Cruz To Be Disbarred
“Senators Hawley and Cruz attacked the foundations of our democracy,” a letter declares, citing their role in sparking the Capitol riot.

Thousands of lawyers and law school alumni on Sunday signed an open letter calling for Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to be disbarred over their leading roles in the effort to undermine Congress’ certification of the Electoral College vote declaring President-elect Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 race.

The two Republican lawmakers were key figures in the effort to halt the certification process last week and, by doing so, support widely debunked claims of rampant voter fraud in an election that saw Biden triumph over President Donald Trump by more than 7 million votes. A pro-Trump mob, inflamed by the president’s own statements, stormed the U.S. Capitol in an unprecedented assault on Congress, leading to at least six deaths — four riot participants and two Capitol Police officers.

“In leading the efforts to undermine the peaceful transition of power after a free and fair election, Senators Hawley and Cruz attacked the foundations of our democracy,” reads the petition, which as of 10 p.m. Sunday had been signed by more than 5,000 lawyers and law students, as well as more than 1,000 members of the Missouri and Texas bars. “Senators Hawley and Cruz directly incited the January 6th insurrection, repeating dangerous and unsubstantiated statements regarding the election and abetting the lawless behavior of President Trump.”

The petition was started by seven Yale law students, and has grown rapidly to include prominent names such as former Sen. Russ Feingold and Harvard professor Laurence Tribe, per The Washington Post.

Hawley is a graduate of Yale Law School and Cruz of Harvard Law School, and both are members in good standing of their respective state bars, as well as the District of Columbia Bar. Both have rejected assertions they contributed to the insurrection. A photo shows Hawley giving rioters a salute with a closed fist.

The senators have faced fierce criticism in recent days from a bipartisan group of lawmakers, as well as calls they resign. On Sunday, Cruz’s longtime friend, Chad Sweet, said the man “must be denounced” and said he could no longer support him.

“In particular, I made it clear to Senator Cruz, whom I have known for years, before the Joint Session of Congress, that if he proceeded to object to the Electoral count of the legitimate slates of delegates certified by the States, I could no longer support him,” Sweet wrote, saying he had to rise above part “to defend democracy.”

Yeah.
Real Dirtball.

Editor of the Yale Law Journal... that right-wing rag that it is.

Then he goes on to go after the Catholic Church ring of Pedo's in Missouri.

Then... (I had to lift this from Wiki because I didn't feel like typing all this):

In November 2017, Hawley opened an investigation into whether Google's business practices violated state consumer protection and anti-trust laws. The investigation was focused on what data Google collects from users of its services, how it uses content providers' content, and whether its search engine results are biased.

In April 2018, after the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data scandal, Hawley announced that his office had issued a subpoena to Facebook related to how the company shares its users' data. The investigation sought to find whether Facebook properly handles its users' sensitive data or collects more data than it publicly admits.
Opioid manufacturer lawsuit and investigation
Hawley in 2018

In June 2017, Hawley announced that Missouri had filed suit in state court against three major drug companies, Purdue Pharma, Endo Health Solutions, and Janssen Pharmaceuticals, for hiding the danger of prescription painkillers and contributing to the opioid epidemic. The state alleged that the companies violated Missouri consumer protection and Medicaid laws.[48][49] The damages sought were among the largest in state history, on the order of hundreds of millions of dollars.

In August 2017, Hawley announced that he had opened an investigation into seven opioid distributors (Allergan, Depomed, Insys, Mallinckrodt, Mylan, Pfizer, and Teva Pharmaceuticals). In October 2017, Hawley expanded his investigation into three additional pharmaceutical companies (AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health, and McKesson Corporation), the three largest U.S. opioid distributors.
Rape kit audit

On October 29, 2017, the Columbia Missourian published an exposé describing a huge backlog of untested rape kits in Missouri and the long-ignored efforts of rape survivors and law enforcement agencies to have the state address the backlog.[52] On November 29, Hawley announced a statewide audit of the number of untested rape kits. The results were made public in May 2018; there were 5,000 such kits. In August 2018, One Nation, a 501(c) nonprofit connected to Republican campaign strategist Karl Rove, ran commercials giving Hawley credit for identifying the problem. In September 2020, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt announced that of the 16 rape kit tests that were consequently uploaded to the national DNA database, 11 revealed the names of known criminals, and were referred for possible prosecution.

So we got him going after pedo's, protecting our right to privacy, opiod manufactures, rapists, Cambridge Analytica....

Like I said... a real dirt-ball.

Jealous much?
He supports right and the wrong moves equally so long as they advance his political career. He can't use lack of intelligence, education, or opportunity as an excuse. He epitomizes everything that is to be despised in our worst politicians who are devoid of ethical or moral guidance. When you look carefully at his Wiki Biographical sketch you discover someone with unbridled ambition and weak ethical compass -- someone unwilling to articulate unpopular positions that are nevertheless morally and ethically the right positions. Someone who will take up a cause he knows to be wrong headed if he sees it is politically advantageous.

You might be right.
He definitely appears to be one that is only interested in moving up the political ladder.

Tbh, I've never heard him speak so I can't pass judgement one way or the other.

Impressive resume, but like you said...
