If you are really interested you could obtain copies of the following reports and decide for yourself if the descriptions match...

The stolen property outlined in the Miami-Dade Police Report (PD111021-422483) matches the descriptive presented by SRO Dunn in his School Police report 2011-1477 (the school report referred to is the one involving the incident with jewelry and a screw driver being found in Trayvon Martin's book bag.)

The Martin man's likely involvement in a theft was kept out of the trial, so unless the jury had prior knowledge of Martin having been involved in this incident it could not have influenced the trial outcome.
