No, Zimmerman does not represent the white community, at least from where I stand. He represents the klannish, who, at least here in Illinois white people have consistently turned back.

Unlike some here at ET, I will not abide the act of one lone nutbird to represent white america, it is not who they are.

Looks like a real nice kid. However, I'll let the legal system grind through it all and we'll see what's real and what isn't. The greatest tragedy here, other than a person getting killed, is the rush to judgement, trial by the mob mentallity, which I put squarely on the media.

Actually I think the real tragedy here is that the Sanford PD and local prosecutors failed to do their jobs and properly handle this case from Day 1. This is why the Sanford police chief and local prosecutor have been removed from office. These folks completely dropped the ball and failed.

The failure by the authorities to handle this case correctly denied justice to both parties. A proper investigation with paperwork would have allowed George Zimmerman to potentially clear his name without a huge media spotlight and uproar. A proper investigation would have allowed the Martin family to potentially achieve justice via the legal process without the need for a media circus to get the authorities to do their jobs.

To be fair, the initial patrol officers from the Sanford PD appear to have handled the front end of the case correctly. However the major crimes unit and investigators totally failed in proper follow-up in terms of following the requirements and guidelines of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (which is why the Sanford police are about to lose their certiifcation after many similar problems).

Now that the FDLE and a new prosecutor are handling this case, I expect that we will see a proper investigation which will most likely lead to grand jury hearing on April 10th.

I do programming for a living. Primarily travelling to customer sites to do the work. I spent most of 2010 down in Marietta, GA working for Cobb EMC. I enjoyed my time there in a racially diverse community.

BTW if you live in this area of Georgia and have power, you can thank me.
