LOL, you want to know how Green I am when it comes to guns, because i grew up in Canada? All the righties are going to laugh at me now.
I have never even seen a handgun, besides what a cop has in his holster, and i have never fired a gun in my entire life. A few of my buddies had rifles for hunting but i never went with them, im big into fishing, but never went hunting.
You could walk into the worst Ghetto in Canada, and compare it to a very nice area of the States, and id be willing to bet there are more guns in the nice area of the states, then the ghettos in Canada. So it is just a huge culture shock for me.
I like the idea of the second amendment, and i support it, i have just never lived somewhere where i felt the need to buy a gun, God willing, ill never have to...... Though i do want to give it a try, and fire off some guns one day.
Closest i have ever been was a pellet gun.

Yeah, honestly, I think environment is a huge factor. Like I said, if you live in a yuppie hood here in the states, you just don't think about this stuff. I have never in my entire life ever assumed someone would have a gun if I'm in a nice area. If I'm in a strange neighborhood or an area that I know is kind of iffy, then I would agree with you. Just keep moving.
