Transition to full time trader quitting school and work

His brain chemistry will change from part time to full time , he will then face phsychological issues , So I suggest he read phsychology involved in full time trading .

I very much doubt any real traders exist here , to give that opinion he requires. I know all these forum chareacters behind the internet mask.

This is why i would like to grow my account size to at least 500k and create another income stream before doing it.

Thx Birzos,

Thankfully i don't think i have many "IYIs" in my life since only some close friends know about my trading.

I hope you are correct, I thought that too when things were going well. You cannot underestimate the power of people who start from the right and are stuck there or who have been pulled in from the middle, the end result, negative for people on the left, is the same regardless or origin.

This may help, you are currently on the left, and now being slowly but surely pulled backwards towards the firewall. Then you will be spat out back to the populace if you don't have a backstop in place, usually minus your capital and energy. It is very rare they ever give up, primarily because of the belief you should be living with the populace.

That's trading, understand the psychology of who you are trading against and their desire to make money irrespective of time or how it affects others. You want to make sure you stay where you are and keep arms length, otherwise you end up with skills you never knew you didn't want.

Think about this seriously

Most traders got sucked into trading , after blindly investing in the stockmarket , only to see it rise and give a handsome profit .

NOW REMEMBER MY GOLDEN WORDS

You are just a fuckin blind monkey , throwing darts in a bull market (this is a bull market) and remember the saying any idiot can make money in a bull market

There is no training, classroom or otherwise, that can prepare for trading the last third of a move, whether it's the end of a bull market or the end of a bear market. Paul Tudor Jones

Wow you sound like a very angry individual,

I dont know what your talking about since all the equities i trade are listed on the TSX-V and a few in the TSX, which is clearly not in a bull market

I am not angry at all , most of these goons who had early luck , they lost for the remainder of their career . They had no skill , nowadays they just gamble or sell education to new traders .THE FIRST FEW SHARES THEY BOUGHT MADE MONEY

just scammers :then they open leads on forums , like yourself pretending to be a NEW trader , then comes the pitch by private messages to sell education. When they get caught , they register a new alias ,like yourself amd come back pretending to be a profitable trader.

you claim to have made 100% a year from 8,000

This is why i would like to grow my account size to at least 500k and create another income stream before doing it.

so it started as being dropping out of school to trade fulltime.
to finishing school and trading fulltime.
to finishing school, working a few years and then trading fulltime.
to finishing school, working a few years, building an account and a second income stream and then trading fulltime.

Do the analysis I suggested above.

First off when I quit working for the gov't, I had two businesses going that was bringing in healthy funds plus I had quite a few rental houses that were all positive cash flow, and I had three million in the bank from trading-all from mechanical trading and done so over three decades. So even if/when my methods stopped working, I had something to fall back. You don't even have a degree, so you don't even have education which at very least open doors, you be that guy at the window saying "can we supersize that"? You have to have fallbacks, it markets go in bear market, many of what you trade might not allow to sell short, then what? That is a major problem of those who have learned how to trade a bull market as you have zero experience of the bear and many low end stocks can't be sold short. I never have and even today have looked at trading as a job, always been full time hobby, my taxable funds have come from other areas of investment or jobs I have taken and now which 99% of it automated, I have more time to design and back test and do other things in my life. This is where having mechanical systems be better that what you are doing, I no longer have to trade or watch screens and can trade any amount of instruments and you are limited.

I can't help but carefully read every word of your post here as it sinks into me. Plan be is a sure thing of seriously, there might be turn of events in the future and need something else to survive. Great lessons here!

Agree, I'm not sure I buy any of it.

I hope your right then, my worry is that the market will drastically change, and make it almost impossible for retail traders in the futures.

99.9% of the posters here are not full time traders. In fact, most are dreamers, busted gamblers, and others living a fantasy life online while being browbeaten by angry spouses or employers.

Follow your dreams mate, and don't ask the anonymous masses what to do.
