Are you talking about Uvalde while Vanzandt is talking about Nashville ?

Today's shooter encountered locked doors but shot her way through the doors to get into the school.

In contrast, Uvalde police first put the blame on a teacher at the school for opening the door while not willing to admit they were cowards and that the shooter could have easily shot his way through those doors.

Today's shooter was down within 14 minutes after the first emergency call although they didn't say how much time went by after their arrival to the school before they engaged the shooter.

By the way, I'm a big fan of all schools having at least one armed police (security) officer in the school. In contrast, I'm not a fan of arming teachers or students. There will be too many shootouts all for the wrong reasons.

The problem is guns and the United States has the worst record while still not being able to do the right thing to protect our children when other countries have done the right thing...it is the reason why they have LESS violent crimes and LESS school shootings.

Unfortunately, it's too late because there are too many guns out there circulating within the United States population. Essentially, we fucked ourselves but the right to bear arms is something we learned from the revolutionary war...it's now part of our DNA.

The police deserve a lot of credit in this instance. They really showed up and engaged quickly.

We expect this but the truth is that this takes real bravery, training and skill.

And, yes, you are 100% correct. We are passed critical mass with the amount of guns in America. The incidence probability is very high because of the availability.

But you are assuming that this person, and all other people who commit these acts, went out to buy the guns right before the act they commit. I am sure that these firearms, for many of the suspects, were available to them legally before their minds just tweaked. You know, they owned them legally for years and years . They just flipped out.

How can you prevent THAT problem? The problem of a mentally-stable person for decades just snapping and going on a killing-spree?

You need to read up on the early pharmacokinetical results in clinical trials, and the so called "acceptable levels" of the various "mental health" drugs that are now handed out like candy.
Look at any chart. It doesn't take a chart-reading mathematical genius to figure out these things are playing a huge role here.
