We need a thumbs up/down feature like Market Watch.

This guy would have more luck introducing a bill that will fund a Bigfoot expedition.

Isn't that already in Obama's stimulus bill?

Finally, some taxpayer money that's not being wasted!

Quote from FightTheFuture:

Short or long term traders/investors that lose money believe that the only cause of their loss is that the market is rigged or manipulated. They believe they could finally make money if only short selling was banned or, if you can even believe it, if taxes were increased, etc.

I believe it. There's no end to the stupidity of the plebes. They honestly believe that destroying the people who reduce their risk by providing liquidity will make all the dumb fucks winners. A part of me hopes they get what they ask for because smart people will leave the country and make money elsewhere and they'll be left to dig their outhouses as their standard of living declines a couple of centuries. It's happened before.

I keep trying to figure out how the CME would survive a 4000% increase to its participants' cost of doing business.

1 ES contract would go from costing $5 commission to $200 round trip ($1000 for the big S&P). How can the exchange survive this, and would Obama, Hillary, and others with ties to Illinois really let it happen?

Why "Transaction Tax - Sign the Petition!!!!!!!" thread was moved to chit-chat?

Because there are threads all over ET now with this. One more was not needed. Look in "Career Trader" for some.
