With Destriero gone, I've been in need of a new guru. After searching the world, I believe I've found one.

While my Croatian language skills, or whatever language she is speaking, are a little rusty, I can tell she emphasizes money management. Unless I'm projecting, she seems to discuss range trading strategies for scalping, as one can profit whether a instrument is in a trading range or trend.

Been working and doing a little trading. Trading well and confidently. Perhaps I can avoid a Capital loss carryover this year!

VIX under 14? Yes, please. Inverted yield curve, geopolitical issues headed towards intractable escalation, Federal Government fiscal year end coming up, US elections going into high gear, to name a few worries. However, these issues are known...

... there seems to be no shortage of shorts here, making a short call not so easy.

Nothing that would interfere with a little scalping and daytrading, though. Kind of took the week off of work for it.

Apple will announce their new iPhone models this afternoon at 1300 ET. Looking for a better camera sensor on the base models, a 3nm chip, a USB port, along with a few other improvements. I expect Apple's new release to be well received. However, friction with China and perhaps their allies could dampen how many phones get sold compared to last year. Will be interesting to see trader's reactions.
