The problem with these smaller time frames is that they produce a LOT of false signals when you try to use them to time the entry.
True, but if you are going to buy anyway, I think the up close view presented by the smaller candles gives a more accurate pinpoint entry in general. Of course it isn't perfect and just one guy placing a 10k order can have a trememdous effect on the short term picture when the float isn't very big. But it gives me more good results than bad. I think the real takeaway here is having multiple timeframes agreeing is good, but each one paints a slightly different picture in terms of detail and resolution. But yeah good that you brought that up.
