Having traded both before and after starting a low carb diet, I can say you will feel much better after the first two week period. Your concentration will return and you will simply 'feel' better than you did even before you began this process
Your body needs to adjust from years of dietary abuse, to a new way of utilizing fuel. The first two weeks are the hardest. There are low carb and zero carb orange, grape and cranberry juices (and pink lemonade) available for purchase that taste almost exactly like the real thing. I created my own menu, and contrary to Dr. Atkins' advice, have never increased my carb intake beyond 20 mg per day. Most days, I have to force myself to eat all the 20 carbs I can because I am NOT hungry.
